Since 2000, Marcin Żmudzki has contributed to numerous IT projects for not-for-profit, business and government clients in the Washington metropolitan area, working at local consulting firms and as an independent consultant. At present, in addition to growing his practice at Falls Church Tech Support, Marcin is in charge of IT infrastructure at a DC-based non-profit organization, which has approximately 50 users. Marcin can administer your Windows Servers, manage your enterprise-level Google Apps, design and administer your networks, deploy and maintain your PCs, Macs and Chromebooks and provide IT management services that include IT budgeting, project management, documentation, procurement, helpdesk oversight and contractor relations. He can also design your SharePoint site, help you with your WordPress blog and advise you on social media marketing strategies. In general, Marcin can analyze your operational or business requirements and adapt new technologies to solve your problems.
Prior to starting his IT career, in the 1990s, Marcin worked as a Polish language translator and interpreter in Washington. He contracted with many translation companies, but also ran his own firm, Polish Language Services, which provided language and project management services to government agencies and non-governmental organizations.
Marcin has earned an A.A. in Computer Science (Business Option) at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, and a B.A. in International Affairs at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in addition to completing a series of IT training courses and earning Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA certifications.
Marcin came to the United States from Poland as a teenager in 1981 and has stayed active in the Polish community ever since. In addition to IT infrastructure, his interests include online communication and collaboration tools, international relations, human rights and pro-democracy activities. In 2013-2014, he volunteered plenty of time online for the Ukrainian EuroMaidan movement. In addition, he is a recovering “NCIS” addict, but he is currently hooked on “Homeland” and cannot wait for the next season of “House of Cards.” Throughout all this, he enjoys spending time with his wife and business partner, Katarzyna Zmudzki.
Known to some of his American friends as Martin, Marcin can be reached at (202) 421-6172 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
